Rapidly build council websites.
The Council Web Toolkit allows Councils to design and build fully responsive websites that adhere to emerging digital public service standards, including best practice guidance from Socitm on enabling access to digital public services. This first release focuses on making available fully responsive content templates that may be used within a website project to display public services. Later releases will incorporate a service model enshrined within an Open Source CMS for use by Councils to enable them to build out the basis of a website service rapidly and efficiently at a low base cost.
Usage of the Council Web Toolkit is completely free from licensing costs, is built on an open source products and services, and is hosted on Github.
Council Toolkit has been developed by Storm ID, one of Scotland's leading digital consultancies, inspired by the work that we have done with City of Edinburgh Council.
